KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with supplier sourcing by identifying and evaluating new vendors that meet the organization’s quality and cost requirements.
  • Support LPO (Local Purchase Order) processing, ensuring timely and accurate documentation and communication with suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and update procurement databases to ensure timely replenishment of stock and avoid shortages.
  • Maintain procurement records including contracts, supplier data, and product specifications in accordance with procurement policies.
  • Communicate with suppliers, follow up on deliveries, and track orders to ensure timelines and service standards are maintained.
  • Conduct market research to identify pricing trends, new products, and alternative sources for procurement.
  • Assist with cost analysis and proposal evaluations, contributing to more informed and efficient purchasing decisions.
  • Provide administrative and logistics support to the procurement team including document handling, scheduling supplier meetings, and filing.
  • Participate in supplier performance reviews, helping to assess quality, compliance, and responsiveness.
  • Contribute to sustainability efforts by identifying eco-friendly packaging or sourcing alternatives where applicable.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret procurement data and make actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with external suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of handling multiple tasks and managing procurement documentation effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel for tracking orders, analyzing costs, and managing inventories.
  • Familiarity with procurement systems or ERP software such as SAP, QuickBooks, or Zoho Inventory is an added advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and under supervision, showing initiative and a willingness to learn.
