KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Post detailed entries to accounting records and prepare standard journal and ledger entries to maintain accurate financial documentation.
- Prepare and verify various standard accounting entries for the financial data processing system, ensuring data integrity while reconciling report discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
- Perform monthly closing processes and execute periodic reporting to support timely financial updates and transparency.
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy across financial statements.
- Review submitted expense reports for approval, ensuring compliance with internal policies and budgetary guidelines.
- Assist with reviewing and obtaining all Accounts Payables for timely payment, facilitating smooth vendor relationships.
- Provide Accounts Receivable collection support to maintain healthy cash flow and client payment schedules.
- Conduct intercompany, receivables, and accounts payable reconciliations to ensure alignment across financial records.
- File statutory returns and payments (e.g., VAT, PAYE, withholding taxes) in a timely manner to meet regulatory deadlines.
- Manage relationships with vendors and negotiate payment terms as needed to optimize financial operations.
- Maintain and manage company assets, including updating the asset register for accurate tracking.
- Prepare and submit all client invoices promptly to ensure efficient billing processes.
- Support the planning and execution of annual financial audits, as well as any additional audits required by Kenyan regulations.
- Reimburse professional expenses promptly to support team members’ operational needs.
- Assist the Operations Team in rolling out firm-wide initiatives, contributing to organizational efficiency and growth.
- Handle additional tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Accounts, or an equivalent field is required as a foundational qualification.
- ACCA/CPA-K qualification or its equivalent is an added advantage, showcasing advanced accounting knowledge.
- Experience in a similar role is desirable, though not mandatory, providing a head start in financial tasks.
