INTRODUCTION

Tecno Mobile Kenya, a market-leading smartphone brand under Transsion Holdings, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Chinese-Speaking Team Manager to join our growing operations in Nairobi. We are looking for a confident, bilingual professional with a solid foundation in technology or business and demonstrated leadership abilities.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a global technology brand and play a key role in cross-functional coordination between our local and Chinese teams.

Our Kenyan operations require a culturally fluent leader who can bridge communication between local departments and the global headquarters. As a Chinese-Speaking Team Manager, your contribution will enhance operational efficiency, project delivery, and overall team cohesion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Coordination

• Lead, supervise, and motivate a small to medium-sized multicultural team.
• Translate and interpret between Mandarin Chinese and English in meetings, reports, and communication.
• Coordinate between local teams and Chinese management on project execution and performance reviews.

Operations Management

• Supervise daily workflows in sales, logistics, support, or technical departments.
• Monitor KPIs and generate performance and progress reports for review.
• Implement corporate strategies and adapt them to the local context.

Project Management

• Support cross-border projects from planning to delivery.
• Align internal resources and stakeholders toward strategic milestones.
• Schedule regular check-ins and reporting structures for project visibility.

Business Communication

• Translate business documents, contracts, SOPs, and policy manuals.
• Act as liaison between local staff and senior Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
• Support HR, finance, and logistics departments with bilingual communication.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or Business Administration.
• Minimum 2–4 years of work experience, preferably in a technology-related or structured corporate environment.
• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) and English is essential.
• Prior experience in project coordination, operations, or team leadership roles.
