As Food & Us expands its footprint in Nairobi and beyond, it’s seeking passionate brand ambassadors to serve as a bridge between the company and its customers, helping spread its mission in-store, online, and at community activations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Brand Ambassador, your primary mission is to enhance brand visibility, attract new customers, and deepen brand loyalty by engaging meaningfully with the public.

You will work closely with the marketing and retail operations teams to implement campaign strategies and represent the brand consistently across touchpoints.

Your core responsibilities include:

1. Brand Representation and Communication

Serve as the face and voice of Food & Us at brand events, pop-ups, in-store activations, and online channels
Clearly communicate the brand story, product benefits, and promotional campaigns to walk-in customers and community members
Answer questions about the company’s values, sourcing methods, sustainability practices, and product range
Share your own authentic experiences with Food & Us products as part of customer engagement

2. Customer Interaction and Service

Welcome customers warmly, listen attentively to their needs, and guide them toward products that suit their preferences
Provide recommendations, upsell where appropriate, and handle basic product demonstrations
Collect customer feedback during activations and share insights with the marketing team for analysis
Deliver a high-quality customer experience that aligns with Food & Us service principles

3. Brand Activations and Field Events

Participate in and support brand awareness campaigns, roadshows, market days, and university outreach programs
Set up and dismantle activation booths, displays, banners, and promotional stands
Assist with sampling sessions, cooking demos, or public tastings when required
Represent the company with professionalism, enthusiasm, and authenticity at every touchpoint

4. Social Media and Digital Promotion

Take part in influencer-style campaigns that involve creating short videos, testimonials, or live sessions
Help share content on your personal social media (if comfortable) to amplify the campaign reach
Provide feedback on how online audiences are engaging with brand content
Capture behind-the-scenes footage during activations that can be repurposed for digital marketing

5. Sales Support and Product Knowledge

Understand key selling points of featured products, including ingredients, origin, pricing, and usage
Provide support to store teams during busy hours, helping to manage crowds and redirect inquiries
Promote bundles, new arrivals, or discount campaigns aligned with marketing plans
Maintain neat and attractive displays at all engagement stations or tables

6. Reporting and Debriefing

Submit daily or weekly engagement reports, including customer interactions, campaign feedback, and lead capture
Attend debrief sessions with the marketing team to discuss learnings, improvements, and upcoming events
Suggest new ideas for activations, messaging, or outreach based on ground-level experience
Maintain records of distributed samples, flyers, and campaign materials

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Food & Us is looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and articulate individuals who are passionate about people, food, and storytelling.

This role is ideal for fresh graduates looking to build experience in marketing, retail, customer service, and event promotion.

Minimum Qualifications:

A diploma or degree in marketing, communication, hospitality, public relations, or related field
Candidates who have completed studies within the past 1–2 years are encouraged to apply
Previous participation in student clubs, events, drama, emceeing, debate, or content creation is a plus

Core Skills and Attributes:

Confident and well-spoken, with excellent verbal communication skills
Presentable and well-groomed, able to represent a premium lifestyle brand
Strong storytelling, persuasion, and public speaking abilities
Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering great experiences
Energetic, outgoing, and naturally sociable
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or public events
Comfortable with both indoor and outdoor engagements
Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Fluency in English and Kiswahili is required; additional local dialects are a bonus
Basic digital literacy (email, social media, Google Forms, etc.)

CONTRACT AND WORK ARRANGEMENTS

This is a full-time role with flexible scheduling, depending on brand activation needs
Compensation will be commensurate with experience and activation performance
Some work may occur in-store, at outdoor events, universities, or high-traffic public spaces
Support will be provided with transport and logistics for off-site activations
Working hours may include weekends, holidays, or evening events based on campaign calendars
