As part of its communications and brand-building strategy, VisionFund Kenya (VFK) is seeking to recruit a creative, digitally fluent, and graphics-savvy intern to support content creation and online engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Social Media & Graphics Support Intern, you will support the Communications Officer and Marketing Department in the following areas:
1. Social Media Content Creation and Scheduling
- Assist in designing and scheduling daily content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, and YouTube
- Tailor content to platform-specific formats (e.g., reels, carousels, quote graphics, infographics, polls)
- Support the development of content calendars and publish campaigns in alignment with brand voice and strategy
2. Graphic Design and Visual Production
- Design eye-catching visuals, templates, event posters, impact stories, testimonial layouts, and branded assets using tools such as Canva, Photoshop, or Adobe Illustrator
- Create short motion graphics, animated text posts, and reels optimized for engagement
- Edit basic videos for announcements, campaign storytelling, and digital promotions using CapCut, InShot, or Premiere Rush
3. Community Management
- Monitor and respond promptly to comments, direct messages (DMs), and public queries on all platforms
- Flag sensitive or urgent communication needs to the Communications Officer
- Contribute to building a friendly, faith-grounded, and responsive online presence
4. Digital Campaign Support
- Assist in conceptualizing and executing digital campaigns for loan products, client success stories, CSR projects, and holidays
- Suggest creative hashtag ideas, storytelling formats, or visuals that enhance brand identity and audience resonance
5. Trend Monitoring and Strategic Input
- Stay updated on social media trends, memes, and viral formats, and suggest contextual applications for VFK
- Benchmark against similar microfinance, faith-based, or social impact institutions to inform continuous improvement
6. Analytics and Reporting
- Help track performance metrics (e.g., post reach, impressions, engagement rates, follower growth)
- Assist in preparing monthly performance reports with recommendations
7. General Communication Support
- Support other assignments from the Communications Officer or Marketing Manager, such as photo cataloging, print collateral mock-ups, or copy proofreading
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Academic Qualifications:
- Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Communication, Graphic Design, Digital Media, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva (mandatory), Adobe Illustrator, or Photoshop
- Familiarity with video editing apps like CapCut, InShot, or Adobe Premiere Rush
- Understanding of platform-specific content standards, image ratios, and storytelling techniques
Experience:
- Experience managing personal, academic, or business social media accounts is a plus
- Demonstrated creativity through portfolio (Instagram highlights, Behance page, blog, or a sample campaign) is encouraged
Core Competencies:
- Creativity and attention to visual detail
- Strong writing skills and ability to match tone across Christian-oriented content
- Quick learner and adaptable to shifting content needs
- Time management and ability to meet digital deadlines
