Key Responsibilities

As a Water Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for:

1. Customer Service and Connections
   • Handling applications for water and sewer connections.
   • Investigating and resolving customer complaints related to water supply and sewer systems.
2. Operations and Maintenance
   • Performing operations and maintenance of water supply and sewerage infrastructure.
   • Monitoring water and sewer networks regularly and preparing detailed inspection reports.
   • Ensuring continuous supply of safe drinking water by installing, maintaining, and repairing water supply equipment.
3. Project Implementation
   • Assisting in the implementation of the company’s water supply and sewerage projects.
   • Conducting inspections of ongoing projects and ensuring compliance with quality standards.
   • Preparing proposals for water supply and sanitation improvement projects.
4. Meter Reading and Maintenance
   • Conducting monthly meter readings and reconciling physical and online data.
   • Performing quarterly meter servicing and replacing faulty units.
5. Inventory Management
   • Taking monthly stock of water and sewer connection materials.
   • Requisitioning necessary materials for operations and maintenance.
6. Water Treatment Operations
   • Assisting in the operations and maintenance of the Water Treatment Plant.
   • Monitoring water tank levels and ensuring corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills

Technical Qualifications

• Diploma in Water Engineering or Wastewater Technology.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in water and sewerage operations.
• Certification or experience in operating Butt Fusion-Welding Machines is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in quality, health, and safety standards related to water systems.

Soft Skills

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and reporting abilities.
• Proven leadership and team collaboration skills.
