Key Responsibilities
As an Urban Designer, you will lead the planning, design, and execution of high-impact urban projects. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Master Planning and Design:
- Develop master plans, precinct plans, and site plans based on input from clients and the executive team.
- Ensure optimal land and infrastructure utilization to achieve sustainable urban growth.
- Project Development and Management:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including architects, government officials, contractors, and local communities.
- Oversee design concepts, schematic designs, and detailed plans for streetscapes, parks, housing, and commercial developments.
- Coordinate construction plans, specifications, and bidding documents for urban design projects.
- Urban Design Guidelines:
- Develop architectural and urban design guidelines that ensure high-quality standards across all projects.
- Support urban planning and design functions across other properties in the Rendeavour portfolio.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work with sales and other departments to align developer requirements with strategic urban planning goals.
- Liaise with engineers, land surveyors, and other professionals to revise and enhance city master plans.
- Construction Oversight:
- Administer and inspect urban design and architectural schemes during construction to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Strategic Visioning:
- Infuse innovative urban design philosophies into all aspects of development, contributing to the vibrant growth of Tatu City.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, or Architecture.
- A Master’s Degree in a related field is highly advantageous.
Professional Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in urban design and development projects.
- Exposure to international projects is preferred.
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of urban design principles, practices, and theory.
- Proficient in design development, documentation, and implementation across diverse urban projects.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, laws, standards, and quality assurance processes.
Key Skills:
- Expertise in urban design concepts and project execution.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and commitment to delivering excellence.
