INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
1. Legal Department Internship – One (1) Position
The Legal Department internship offers aspiring legal professionals a chance to engage in corporate law, compliance, litigation support, and contracts management within a dynamic public broadcasting environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Support in drafting legal documents, contracts, and service agreements

Assist with legal research, analysis of legislation, and regulatory compliance audits

Participate in preparation of case files for litigation, arbitrations, and labor disputes

Review and help update the Corporation’s internal policies and regulations
-
Contribute to the organization of Board and Committee meetings including minutes preparation

Assist in advising departments on intellectual property rights, content licensing, and media regulations
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Law from a recognized institution

Must be computer literate (proficient in Microsoft Office Suite)

Strong skills in drafting, report writing, planning, and organizational management

2. Television Services Department (Y254 TV Channel) Internship – One (1) Position
The Y254 TV Channel internship is designed for creative and energetic individuals passionate about broadcast journalism, content creation, television production, and storytelling.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with scriptwriting, storyboarding, and planning TV segments

Support content production including shooting, editing, and scheduling programs
-
Work with the editorial team to generate creative story ideas

Aid in post-production editing, graphics insertion, and subtitling
-
Participate in news coverage, live events, interviews, and on-location shoots
-
Help manage social media content for audience engagement
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Journalism, Mass Communication, or Television Production from a recognized institution

Must be computer literate, especially with editing software like Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar

Strong skills in writing, editing, creativity, and analytical thinking

GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ALL INTERNSHIPS

Must be Kenyan citizens aged between 21 and 34 years
-
Must have graduated from a College/University not earlier than 2020
-
Must attach:
- Academic certificates and transcripts
- Updated Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- National ID card or valid passport
- Application letter indicating the specific internship area
Candidates must demonstrate enthusiasm, self-motivation, and eagerness to learn. Preference will be given to applicants with a strong passion for public broadcasting, communication, governance, and national development.
REQUIREMENTS UPON SUCCESSFUL SELECTION
Interns who are selected for the programme must provide copies of the following:

Valid Personal Accident Insurance Cover for the internship period

Proof of Medical Insurance Registration (NHIF or private provider)

KRA PIN Certificate
-
NSSF Membership Card
-
Two (2) colored passport-size photographs
-
Active bank account details for stipend processing

Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
All documentation must be ready before the commencement date to ensure a seamless onboarding process.
