The Irrigation Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the effective and efficient management of irrigation systems within the organization’s flower production facilities. This position is tasked with optimizing water distribution, maintaining irrigation equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of systems that are vital to crop health and productivity. Key Responsibilities

As an Irrigation Supervisor, your primary duties will include:

1. Team Management:
   • Oversee and effectively allocate labor resources to ensure optimal productivity.
   • Monitor attendance and ensure all team members use the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
   • Address labor wellness, grievances, and disciplinary issues as per company policy.
2. System Maintenance:
   • Regularly inspect and maintain irrigation equipment, including pumps and sprinklers.
   • Ensure the efficient operation of pumps, filters, drips, and mumkads, maintaining high standards of functionality.
   • Document daily irrigation records and update them consistently.
3. Fertilizer Application:
   • Supervise the correct application of fertilizers in designated blocks, ensuring compliance with protocols.
4. Health and Safety:
   • Train the irrigation team on health and safety standards, adhering to company regulations.
5. Operational Excellence:
   • Coordinate irrigation schedules as per the program.
   • Supervise the removal and storage of drips and mumkads in line with company standards.
   • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in work areas.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

1. Academic Background:
   • Certificate or Diploma in Agriculture or Horticulture.
2. Work Experience:
   • Minimum of two years of experience in a flower production setup.
3. Technical Skills:
   • IPM Level 1 or 2 certification (preferred).
   • Proficiency in monitoring and maintaining irrigation systems.
4. Leadership and Soft Skills:
   • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
   • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
   • Flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
5. Behavioral Competencies:
   • Honesty, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
   • Demonstrates time-consciousness and strong teamwork abilities.
