Job Overview

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fabricator to join our factory department in Kilgoris, Kenya. The selected candidate will be responsible for fabricating structural equipment using blueprints and work orders. This role requires technical expertise, precision, and problem-solving abilities to enhance safety and ergonomic conditions while ensuring quality improvements and the reworking of purchased and fabricated parts.

Key Responsibilities

• Fabricate various structural equipment using blueprints and work orders.
• Interpret and read detailed schematics for complex machinery.
• Utilize hand and power tools to cut, trim, and fit components into final structural products.
• Weld and solder metal pieces together ensuring a durable final product.
• Align components and secure them using bolts and screws.
• Identify defective components and conduct necessary repairs or modifications to fix them.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards in all fabrication processes.
• Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to improve fabrication techniques and efficiency.
• Maintain an organized workspace and ensure all tools and equipment are in good working condition.

Qualifications and Skills

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Diploma or Certificate in Fabrication from a recognized institution.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in fabrication or a related field.
• Strong technical ability in using machining and welding tools.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings accurately.
• Proficiency in metal fabrication, welding, and soldering techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a factory or manufacturing industry.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to fabrication.
• Experience with CNC machining and advanced fabrication tools.
• Familiarity with modern welding techniques and equipment.
