Key Responsibilities

As the Assistant Projects Manager, you will:

  • Collaborate with Projects Managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Design and implement effective control systems to manage schedules, costs, and risks, aligning with contractual specifications.
  • Provide real-time insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
  • Foster a culture of schedule, cost, and risk awareness among project participants.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records on internal and client databases, including document control systems and logs (e.g., materials, drawings, RFI).
  • Work closely with clients and vendors to prepare technical and project documentation.
  • Conduct internal and vendor audits to ensure documentation accuracy and quality.
  • Design and oversee a Projects Control System scaled to project complexity.
  • Develop the Projects Breakdown Structure (PBS) and relevant coding systems to ensure efficient project management.
  • Coordinate the implementation of application systems required for project execution.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction project management, preferably with multistorey projects.
  • Proven expertise in project management methodologies and practices.
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
  • Certification in PMP or PRINCE2.
