Key Responsibilities
As an Assistant Chef at Beth’s Kitchen, your primary duties will include:
- Food Preparation: Assist the Head Chef in preparing and cooking a variety of meals, focusing on Swahili cuisine.
- Maintaining Hygiene Standards: Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Menu Development: Collaborate in planning and innovating the menu to meet customers’ preferences and seasonal availability.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage kitchen inventory, ensuring all essential supplies are stocked and fresh.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely meal preparation.
- Customer Satisfaction: Consistently produce high-quality dishes that meet Beth’s Kitchen standards.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, candidates should possess the following:
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Swahili cuisine.
- Proficiency in food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Culinary certification or diploma in Food Production.
- Experience in menu planning and development.
Location Requirement:
- Candidates must reside in Mlolongo, Syokimau, or Kitengela.
