Department of Health Services – Medical Laboratory Technologist III (25 Positions)

Reference: MCPSB/MOH/2025/02/01
Remuneration: Ksh. 50,000 per month
Terms of Service: Three-year contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide general diagnostic and other laboratory services in a medical laboratory setting.
  • Offer blood transfusion services to patients.
  • Mentor and coach students on attachment to ensure knowledge transfer and practical skill development.
  • Perform administrative duties related to laboratory operations.
  • Execute any other duties assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences or a related field.
  • Registered with the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board.
  • Proficiency in medical laboratory diagnostic techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal and mentorship skills.
  • Experience working in a hospital laboratory setting is an added advantage.

Department of Revenue Services – Revenue Clerks (73 Positions)

Reference: MCPSB/MOF/2025/02/02
Terms of Service: Permanent and pensionable

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide information on fees, charges, and payment options to customers.
  • Process and file documents related to revenue collection, including receipts and payment confirmations.
  • Ensure compliance with county policies and procedures in all revenue transactions.
  • Assist customers with inquiries related to revenue services and payment processes.
  • Collect market cess and other county revenues as per regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on revenue collection activities.
  • Ensure accountability by banking collected revenue daily.
  • Surrender collection receipts and records for proper auditing.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong data entry and financial record-keeping skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and revenue management software.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume transaction environment.
  • Previous experience in revenue collection is an added advantage.

Department of ICT & E-Government – ICT Officer II/Fiber Technician (2 Positions)

Reference: MCPSB/MOF/2025/02/03
Terms of Service: Permanent and pensionable

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain Fiber Optics FTTH network infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and repair fiber optic issues to ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct fiber splicing and termination of SM fiber.
  • Perform installation, testing, and maintenance of fiber systems.
  • Use OTDR, power meters, and other tools to monitor fiber optic systems.
  • Install and configure telecom equipment, including demarcation enclosures and switches.
  • Maintain documentation of fiber network layouts and performance reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards during installation and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Diploma in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience in fiber optics installation, splicing, and testing.
  • Proficiency in handling OTDR and power meter tools.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in fiber networks.
  • Ability to work in outdoor and high-altitude environments.

Department of ICT & E-Government – ICT Officer I/System Developer (1 Position)

Reference: MCPSB/MOF/2025/02/04
Terms of Service: Permanent and pensionable

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Conduct program testing (Unit testing, Integration testing, and Acceptance testing).
  • Develop and optimize new user-facing features for internal applications.
  • Work with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes into functional features.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines for seamless software deployment.
  • Maintain technical documentation and coding standards.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies to enhance system development.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or PHP.
  • Experience in developing scalable web applications.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud computing is an advantage.
