POSITION SUMMARY

Olare Mara Kempinski is seeking a qualified and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee daily operations at the lodge’s food and beverage outlet. The successful candidate will lead a service-oriented team while delivering an exceptional guest experience aligned with Kempinski’s premium hospitality standards and DNA values.

REPORTING LINE

• Reports to: Camp Manager / Director of Culinary
• Supervises: Head Waiter/Waitress, Waiter/Waitress, Host/Hostess

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Leadership

• Supervise all activities in the assigned restaurant outlet to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and readiness of the outlet throughout service.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as per company SOPs.

Guest Experience

• Provide professional and courteous service to all guests.
• Handle guest inquiries promptly and efficiently.
• Record and report guest complaints and feedback to management for follow-up.
• Strive to consistently maximize guest satisfaction through a high standard of service delivery.

Team Management

• Guide, coach, and support staff to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct regular team briefings and internal communication.
• Maintain strong working relationships within the team and other departments.

Product Knowledge & Upselling

• Be fully knowledgeable of all services and products offered by the outlet and the hotel.
• Practice effective upselling techniques and offer alternatives when required.

Inventory & Hygiene Compliance

• Monitor operating supplies and equipment.
• Reduce spoilage, wastage, and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Ensure hygiene, health, and fire safety procedures are strictly adhered to.

Additional Duties

• Attend all assigned departmental meetings and training sessions.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as requested by the Camp Manager or Department Head.
• Maintain a flawless service standard aligned with the expectations of the property.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
• Prior experience working in resorts, lodges, or remote hospitality settings is preferred
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and industry best practices
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication, team coordination, and leadership skills
• Highly professional with a strong sense of ethics and discretion
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining top-tier service delivery
• Capable of operating standard office and F&B equipment
