As a Social Media Manager, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the organization’s online presence, increasing engagement, and managing digital communications across multiple platforms. This is a fully remote opportunity, offering flexible work hours with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the organization’s mission and advocacy efforts.
  • Manage the organization’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Telegram, X, YouTube, BlueSky) to enhance visibility and outreach.
  • Create engaging and high-quality content, including posts, visual graphics, and reels videos that effectively communicate key messages.
  • Collaborate with programme directors and project coordinators to ensure a unified voice across all digital platforms.
  • Develop and execute targeted social media campaigns to raise awareness about humanitarian issues and international peace initiatives.
  • Foster a strong online community by actively engaging with followers, responding to messages, and participating in relevant discussions.
  • Track and analyze social media metrics to measure success and optimize content strategies for improved engagement.
  • Ensure all content is SEO-optimized, adhering to best practices for maximum reach and impact.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Media, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, Public Information, or a related field.
  • A strong passion for humanitarian work, advocacy, and international peace efforts.
  • Proven experience in social media management and content creation, with a strong understanding of best practices.
  • Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva, Figma, or Adobe Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to create high-quality reels videos and visually compelling digital content.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Knowledge of SEO strategies and social media analytics tools.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with a team-oriented mindset.
  • High level of computer literacy and adaptability to emerging digital trends.
