ROLE PURPOSE
The System Analyst – Pension will be responsible for ensuring that Jubilee’s pension systems are:

Efficient, user-friendly, and integrated with core business operations

Compliant with internal ICT policies and external regulatory standards

Continuously improved through innovation, user feedback, and system optimization

Scalable and secure to meet current and future business demands
The role will involve collaboration with cross-functional teams including pensions operations, finance, compliance, IT security, external vendors, and executive management to deliver robust technology solutions for internal users.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Responsibilities

Support the digital transformation initiatives of Jubilee Life by aligning pension systems development and optimization with strategic business goals

Participate actively in solution architecture, project planning, and system enhancement efforts for pensions-related platforms
-
Monitor technology trends and recommend the adoption of new tools, frameworks, and platforms that enhance internal pension processes and reporting capabilities
-
Advocate for innovation, efficiency, and user-experience improvements in pension systems workflows and design
Operational Responsibilities
-
Develop, test, deploy, and maintain core system functionalities using Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and APEX technologies
-
Ensure high system availability, reliability, and performance to support mission-critical pension operations
-
Execute and monitor systems interfaces and data flows, including C2B and B2C portals for pension services
-
Perform thorough root cause analyses of system incidents and implement corrective and preventive measures promptly
-
Provide technical support to business teams for pension systems usage, report generation, and data queries
-
Prepare comprehensive system manuals, guides, and conduct user training sessions to enhance system literacy among internal teams
Corporate Governance Responsibilities
-
Ensure system development practices comply with Jubilee’s internal ICT governance frameworks and relevant regulatory policies such as data protection standards

Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all system changes, configurations, releases, and incident resolutions
-
Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Internal Audit departments to perform periodic systems audits, vulnerability assessments, and ensure regulatory compliance
-
Manage relationships with external vendors and technology partners to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) and contract terms are consistently met

Foster a culture of continuous improvement, technical innovation, and knowledge sharing within the technology and pensions teams

Mentor and provide guidance to junior system analysts, IT interns, and new team members in system best practices and problem-solving approaches

ACADEMIC BACKGROUND AND RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical field
-
Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) – PL/SQL Developer Certification is mandatory
-
Professional certification or practical experience in Oracle APEX Version 19 or higher is highly desirable
-
Familiarity with reporting technologies such as Oracle BI & Analytics
-
Additional exposure to UNIX scripting, Apache Web Server, PHP/MySQL would be advantageous
-
Minimum of 3 years experience in application development, technical support, or system administration, preferably within financial services, insurance, or banking sectors
-
Proficient in Oracle tools including PL/SQL, APEX, Reports, SQL Loader, Workflow, and Fusion Middleware
-
Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining web-based integrations, APIs, C2B, and B2C transaction platforms
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
-
Experience working on complex, multi-stakeholder projects with tight regulatory compliance requirements
-
Practical involvement in systems development life cycles (SDLC), Agile or Waterfall project methodologies
-
Exposure to cybersecurity practices, vulnerability management, and systems risk assessments
-
Knowledge of pension administration systems, reporting frameworks, and actuarial data handling is a strong plus
