Introduction
AAA-Growers Limited, a leader in the export of vegetables, flowers, and avocados in Kenya, is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Manager to join our dynamic team at our Head Office in Nairobi. This role is pivotal in shaping the financial strategies of the company, ensuring compliance, and leading our financial operations with precision and efficiency.

As the Senior Finance Manager, you will be integral to our success, overseeing the company’s financial operations, compliance with statutory requirements, and leading financial planning and analysis efforts.
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Finance Manager, you will:
- Budget Formulation and Monitoring:
- Develop financial budgets based on historical data and operational projections.
- Ensure adherence to established budgets and provide explanations for any deviations.
- Sales Forecasting and Projections:
- Prepare sales forecasts using historical data and industry projections.
- Create cash flow projections, including both inflows and outflows, ensuring financial stability.
- Management Accounts Coordination:
- Oversee the preparation of management accounts within set deadlines.
- Present comprehensive financial reports to senior management.
- Financial Oversight:
- Monitor company transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct risk assessments and manage internal controls effectively.
- Formulate and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Audit Coordination:
- Coordinate internal audits and prepare schedules for external auditors.
- Draft annual financial statements and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Statutory Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements and manage relations with government agencies.
- Act as the company’s tax advisor and liaise with the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) on tax-related matters.
- Crop Management:
- Conduct crop-on-ground assessments and provide accurate financial reports.
- Comprehensive Reporting:
- Manage and deliver a variety of reports, including annual budgets, forecast projections, cash flow reports, internal audit reports, and crop-on-ground reports.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you should possess the following:
- Educational Background:
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Certification:
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), or equivalent qualification.
- Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in financial management, budgeting, and accounting, preferably in the agricultural or manufacturing sector.
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
- Knowledge and Compliance:
- In-depth understanding of tax laws, statutory compliance, and risk management.
- Familiarity with local and international accounting standards, including IFRS and GAAP.
- Leadership and Communication:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with external auditors, tax authorities, and management.
- Proven ability to manage internal controls and lead financial systems.
- Organizational and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and present complex financial data clearly.
- Exceptional decision-making abilities to adapt to evolving company needs.
