Key Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Associate, you will:
- Legal Research and Drafting: Conduct comprehensive legal research and prepare well-structured motions, pleadings, and submissions.
- Court Representation: Represent clients in court daily, ensuring their interests are effectively advocated.
- Hearing Preparation: Prepare for and conduct hearings with precision and professionalism.
- Client Advisory: Provide strategic legal advice on a wide range of issues, including tax law, constitutional law, and dispute resolution.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to develop innovative case strategies and deliver exceptional legal outcomes.
- Document Management: Draft, review, and manage legal documentation, ensuring compliance with legal standards.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior partners to explore creative and effective legal solutions for complex cases.
Qualifications and Skills:
We seek a dynamic and skilled professional who meets the following criteria:
- Advocate of the High Court of Kenya: Must hold a current practicing certificate.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in litigation, with a preference for exposure to tax law and constitutional law.
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or a related field.
- Legal Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in conducting legal research, drafting motions, and court representation.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple cases effectively and meet stringent deadlines.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
