POSITION 1: Program Coordinator

Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Job Type: Full-Time

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and manage strong partnerships with national, county, and community organizations
  • Oversee training and development programs in trauma-informed care
  • Lead hands-on healing programs: group counseling, Vacation Bible School, and School Outreach
  • Support the Director of Operations in strategic planning and partner engagement
  • Identify new program opportunities and support the execution of ongoing projects
  • Manage volunteer engagement and public awareness campaigns
  • Facilitate community-based initiatives that foster healing and resilience
  • Organize meetings, maintain program calendars, and supervise outreach activities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Community Development, Psychology, Social Work, or related field
  • 3+ years experience in program coordination, youth empowerment, or trauma support
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Background in working with vulnerable populations or survivors of trauma preferred
  • Commitment to faith-based, survivor-centered, and social justice models
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to meet community demands

POSITION 2: Counsellor

Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Job Type: Full-Time

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide individual and group therapy to children and youth
  • Deliver psychosocial support services, including crisis intervention and case management
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate educational mental health programs
  • Develop assessments, outreach materials, and intervention models
  • Serve as a consultant and mental health resource for partner organizations and communities
  • Maintain client files and ensure compliance with clinical documentation standards
  • Monitor quality assurance and data accuracy in service delivery
  • Train and supervise junior staff or volunteers in psychosocial support practices
  • Support program expansion through research and implementation feedback

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Social Work
  • 3+ years direct clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and trauma survivors
  • Registered with relevant professional body (e.g., KCPA, KPS, or similar)
  • Strong grasp of confidentiality, child safeguarding, and ethical counseling practices
  • Excellent report writing, planning, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to design and evaluate mental health outreach programs
  • Strong alignment with Christian faith-based principles and community-centered healing
