Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and self-driven Information Technology (IT) Intern to join our ICT team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in providing technical assistance, maintaining computer systems, and configuring hardware and software. The successful candidate will enhance their troubleshooting skills, assist in implementing new technologies, and support our staff in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to staff and customers on hardware and software-related issues.
  • Help Desk Management: Assist with help desk calls, scheduling, and ticket management to ensure timely resolution of user requests.
  • System Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and software applications.
  • Asset Management: Follow established procedures for computer maintenance and management of ICT assets.
  • System Monitoring: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Data Backup: Perform system backups and maintain accurate records to ensure data integrity and availability.
  • User Training: Provide training and support to staff on the use of computer systems and software applications.
  • Technical Research: Research and recommend solutions for technical problems to enhance system efficiency.
  • Remote Support: Use remote tools for maintenance and support of ICT systems.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake any other relevant duties or responsibilities assigned by the Head of Section.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Educational Background: Applicants must have graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Information Communication Technology (ICT) or a related field.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as a team player with good inter-relationship skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Interpersonal and cross-cultural skills to interact with diverse teams.
