Key Responsibilities
As a Driver Class BCD, you will perform the following duties:
- Carry out timely deliveries within Kitale and surrounding areas to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations to promote road safety.
- Maintain a clean and well-functioning vehicle by performing routine checks and ensuring proper servicing.
- Assist in basic vehicle troubleshooting and minor repairs when necessary.
- Complete and maintain delivery records accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure the efficient movement of goods.
- Uphold the company’s values and maintain professional conduct while on duty.
Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class BCD Driver’s License with a minimum of 6 years of driving experience.
- At least a diploma-level education from a recognized institution.
- Strong understanding of local and regional routes around Kitale and its environs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in a craft course such as mechanics or electrical work from institutions like NYS or a similar technical institute.
- Previous experience with delivery logistics or related fields.
Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
