Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Operations, you will:
- Support the Country Manager in strategic planning and overall hotel management.
- Develop and execute annual Operations Plans, ensuring profit objectives are met.
- Oversee the implementation and adherence to Mövenpick culture and standards.
- Handle guest feedback and concerns, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
- Lead the preparation and achievement of the hotel’s Operating and Capital Expenditure Budgets.
- Maintain and oversee financial outlooks for operational departments, ensuring accuracy.
- Collaborate with department heads to enhance efficiency and service quality.
- Drive staff recruitment, planning, and productivity, ensuring an engaged workforce.
- Ensure the hotel’s Business Continuity, Emergency, and Crisis Management Plans are up-to-date.
- Uphold compliance with brand standards, policies, and regulations.
- Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 10 years of hotel experience, including at least 2 years in a similar leadership position.
- A Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- Proven expertise in operations management, with the ability to coordinate multiple departments effectively.
- Strong knowledge of budget planning, execution, and financial management.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- A demonstrated ability to build and motivate high-performing teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Hands-on experience with system management and operational controls.
- A commitment to guest satisfaction and employee engagement.
