Key Responsibilities
Understanding the Commercial Opportunity
- Utilize market insights to develop and implement business growth strategies.
- Analyze shopper behavior, customer trends, and market dynamics to maximize product distribution.
- Maintain a strong understanding of category management and consumer buying habits.
Strategy Development & Execution
- Lead the joint customer planning process, ensuring execution of a value-driven strategy.
- Develop execution standards that align with 365 Essentials Principles.
- Drive trade marketing initiatives to strengthen brand visibility.
- Implement digital engagement strategies to drive consumer interaction and loyalty.
Sales Performance & Revenue Growth
- Oversee the performance of 3-7 distributor accounts, ensuring sales targets are met.
- Monitor financial levers, sales volume, margins, and profit performance to optimize revenue.
- Implement coaching and mentoring programs to enhance distributor sales capabilities.
- Conduct trade accompaniments and performance evaluations for sales representatives.
Promotional Campaigns & Execution
- Develop and execute strategic promotional plans to drive consumer engagement.
- Ensure on-time and in-full execution of brand activations.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to refine promotional messaging and campaigns.
Compliance & Governance
- Adhere to Diageo’s Code of Business Conduct, ensuring compliance with internal and external policies.
- Maintain compliance with audit requirements and financial controls.
- Ensure health and safety policies are upheld within the field team.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or a related field.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of distributor management and retail strategy.
- Ability to analyze financial data and market trends.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in CRM software and digital sales tools.
