KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a trainee lawyer at ALN Kenya, you will:
- Gain practical legal experience by working on real client matters across multiple legal practice areas.
- Assist in legal research, case preparation, contract drafting, and court filings.
- Support senior lawyers in corporate transactions, dispute resolution, and advisory services.
- Attend client meetings, negotiations, and industry seminars to gain exposure to real-world legal practice.
- Work alongside seasoned attorneys, legal scholars, and business leaders to develop strong legal skills.
- Participate in professional training sessions and mentorship programs to enhance legal knowledge.
- Collaborate with legal teams on complex cross-border legal matters.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Required Qualifications
- A Law Degree (LL.B) from a recognized university.
- Degree Classification: First Class or Second Upper (or equivalent).
- Secondary Education Qualification:
- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)
- International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)
- International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB Diploma)
- Must have attained a high mean grade in secondary education.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship experience at Anjarwalla & Khanna or another law firm.
- Additional higher education qualifications in law or related fields.
- Strong leadership experience in academic, extracurricular, or community activities.

TRAINING LOCATIONS AND PREFERENCES
Trainees have the option to choose between our Nairobi or Mombasa offices. Please indicate your preferred location in your application.
