KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Vacancy 1: Regional Sales Coordinator – Coast

This role focuses on overseeing Highlands’ commercial and retail performance within the Coast region. The position reports directly to the National Sales Manager.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies that align with national targets and contribute to market share growth in the Coast region.

  • Lead a team of Territory Sales Representatives, overseeing daily activities, performance management, and route optimization.

  • Manage the regional distribution pipeline, ensuring timely product availability and stock rotation across all key accounts and distributors.

  • Build and sustain strong B2B and B2C relationships, conducting periodic market visits and trade engagement activities.

  • Identify market gaps and drive channel expansion initiatives, especially in underserved locations.

  • Collaborate with marketing teams to implement local activations, product launches, and seasonal campaigns.

  • Analyze sales data and field intelligence, recommending actionable insights to leadership for continuous improvement.

  • Ensure team compliance with all SOPs, brand guidelines, and health and safety standards.

Vacancy 2: Business Performance Analyst – Nyeri

The Business Performance Analyst plays a pivotal role in bridging operational execution with strategic decision-making through data analytics and performance measurement.

Core duties include:

  • Create and manage a performance metrics dashboard that offers real-time insights into company operations across departments.

  • Work with department heads to identify KPI shortfalls and design corrective interventions.

  • Lead the quarterly and annual budgeting process, working closely with Finance and Strategy departments.

  • Generate executive-level reports and presentations for Board meetings and management reviews.

  • Analyze profitability trends, cost structures, sales margins, and ROI for major business initiatives.

  • Support automation projects by working with IT to embed data intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau.

  • Benchmark organizational performance against market standards using competitor analysis and economic indicators.

  • Train business units on best practices in performance tracking and reporting.

Vacancy 3: Internal Controls Lead – Nyeri

Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer (CFO), the Internal Controls Lead is tasked with designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing the company’s control framework.

Key functions:

  • Conduct risk assessments across functions to identify and evaluate control gaps and operational risks.

  • Lead compliance audits and investigations, ensuring adherence to both internal policies and external regulatory standards.

  • Coordinate with external auditors, providing all necessary documentation, walkthroughs, and clarifications.

  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for high-risk business functions including procurement, warehousing, HR, and distribution.

  • Introduce control awareness initiatives, educating staff across departments through workshops, toolkits, and e-learning modules.

  • Track and report key control indicators (KCIs), preparing monthly dashboards and audit follow-up reports for senior management.

  • Oversee whistleblower programs, ensuring confidentiality, responsiveness, and resolution tracking.

  • Foster a culture of ethical conduct, collaborating with HR and Legal to handle disciplinary matters related to fraud or misconduct.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Regional Sales Coordinator – Coast

  • Sales, Marketing, or Business Administration. A diploma in Customer Relationship Management or Distribution Logistics is a plus.

  • Field sales experience within the FMCG industry, with at least 2 years managing a team.

  • Strong regional knowledge of the Coast market including Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale, and Taita Taveta counties.

  • Proficiency in CRM tools, sales automation apps, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Demonstrated ability to handle distributor disputes, negotiate key account contracts, and meet tight revenue targets.

  • Excellent presentation, training, and territory planning skills.

Business Performance Analyst – Nyeri

  • Experience in business performance reporting, forecasting, or analytics within a corporate or consultancy setup.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel (advanced), Tableau, and SAP ERP platforms.

  • Knowledge of financial modeling, data mining, and statistical analysis.

  • Strong understanding of cross-functional business operations including supply chain, production, and customer service.

  • Analytical thinker with excellent attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Internal Controls Lead – Nyeri

  • Accounting, Finance, or Audit. CPA (K), CIA, or CISA certification is required.

  • Minimum Experience in internal audit, risk management, or control leadership in a manufacturing environment.

  • Hands-on experience conducting fraud investigations, implementing internal control testing frameworks, and managing audit cycles.

  • Familiarity with local compliance regulations (e.g., KRA, NEMA, OSHA) and global standards (e.g., COSO framework).

  • Excellent writing skills, capable of drafting comprehensive reports with well-supported findings and recommendations.

  • High level of personal integrity and ethical judgment.
