The hotel boasts 32 two-bedroom apartments, 6 one-bedroom apartments, and 2 penthouses, offering contemporary living and working spaces. At CySuites, guests can enjoy a variety of culinary delights at the all-day dining restaurant, featuring a diverse menu of Kenyan and continental dishes. The bar area offers a curated selection of wines, spirits, and signature cocktails, while the hotel’s fitness facilities, including a heated pool, ensure a complete and memorable stay.

We are excited to announce a Restaurant Management Trainee Program designed for passionate individuals aiming to develop a rewarding career in restaurant management. This three-month accelerated development program combines theoretical instruction and practical on-the-job training to prepare trainees for leadership roles in the food and beverage industry.


Key Responsibilities

As a Restaurant Management Trainee, you will gain invaluable experience and perform the following duties:

  1. Guest Relations
    • Respond to guest reviews and feedback promptly.
    • Address guest complaints and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction.
  2. Restaurant Operations
    • Oversee the dining area and supervise food and beverage service staff in accordance with operating policies.
    • Ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, and ready for service.
    • Conduct pre-shift grooming checks to ensure staff meet professional standards.
  3. Menu Knowledge and Order Management
    • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the menu and presentation standards.
    • Ensure timely coordination of orders from the kitchen and bar.
  4. Administrative Duties
    • Accurately record all transactions and prepare daily sales reports.
    • Manage restaurant margins and costs within budgetary limits.
    • Oversee the completion and submission of restaurant checklists.
  5. Team Leadership
    • Assign and manage duties for restaurant and bar staff.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings to discuss policies and gather feedback.
    • Train and mentor staff to encourage professional growth and promote internal talent development.
  6. Entrepreneurial Management
    • Identify opportunities to drive sales and generate business.
    • Ensure the restaurant operates at full potential while adhering to budgets.
  7. Inventory and Stock Management
    • Monitor and tally restaurant stock daily.
    • Ensure inventory records are accurate and properly maintained.
  8. Additional Duties
    • Perform any other duties assigned to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this program, candidates should meet the following requirements:

Mandatory Qualifications

  • A minimum of C+ in high school or its equivalent.
  • At least a certificate in hotel management or a related field.

Desired Skills

  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities.
  • Flexibility to work on weekends and night shifts.
