KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive light trucks to transport raw materials, finished ceramics, or equipment between the Miwani facility and designated locations, ensuring timely deliveries.
  • Load and unload goods from the truck, securing items to prevent damage during transit and adhering to safety standards.
  • Inspect the vehicle before and after trips, checking fuel levels, tires, brakes, and other components to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records, documenting routes, times, and any incidents to support operational tracking.
  • Follow traffic regulations and company policies, ensuring safe and lawful driving practices across all routes.
  • Assist in coordinating with warehouse or production teams to streamline pickup and drop-off processes, enhancing logistics efficiency.
  • Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks, such as refueling or reporting issues, to keep the truck in optimal condition.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Valid Class BCE driving license, meeting Kenyan legal requirements for operating light trucks, as a mandatory qualification for this role.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a light truck driver, demonstrating proven expertise in transporting goods safely and efficiently.
  • Basic proficiency in written and spoken English, enabling clear communication with supervisors, team members, and external contacts.
