KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with Research Scientists, Data Scientists, Architects, and Industry Experts to define and implement strategic solutions that effectively drive progress in core initiative areas.
• Develop and communicate clear product strategies across internal and external stakeholders, building consensus through strategic presentations, meetings, and detailed reports.
• Prioritize projects and features by assessing impact, analyzing risks, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, including Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
• Conduct thorough quantitative analysis to inform decision-making, ensuring projects align with the lab’s strategic pillars such as sustainability, population health, and disaster response.
• Create detailed product roadmaps by prioritizing tasks, balancing stakeholder interests, and maintaining alignment with core business objectives.
• Evangelize the lab’s work through compelling storytelling, public presentations, academic papers, blogs, social media engagement, and industry events.
• Maintain continuous engagement and communication with internal teams and external partners, fostering consensus and clarity across diverse channels.
• Own end-to-end project deliverables, documenting strategies, communicating goals, and tracking success metrics.
• Support grant program management activities within the AI for Good Lab Azure Grant program, ensuring effective allocation and utilization of resources.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Current Graduate Student or Recent Graduate in engineering, data science, economics, sociology, public policy, or related quantitative analysis fields.
• Prior experience in quantitative analysis with a strong foundation in economics, sociology, public policy, or related fields.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and concise communication of complex ideas to diverse audiences.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality written materials, including technical specifications, formal presentations, and external communications.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills to effectively engage stakeholders, build consensus, and facilitate cross-organizational cooperation.
• Demonstrated analytical skills in quantitative methods, data interpretation, and strategic planning.
• Proficiency in software tools and methodologies relevant to product management, such as agile practices, roadmap creation, and strategic planning tools.
• Adaptability to dynamic conditions and rapidly changing project scopes, demonstrating a flexible and proactive approach.
• Prior experience or interest in academia or industry sectors such as economics, sociology, public policy, or quantitative analysis is highly advantageous.
