SHOFCO is seeking a highly skilled driver with a proven track record in executive or personal driving. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient transport of personnel, materials, and supplies. You will also be entrusted with vehicle maintenance, ensuring compliance with Kenyan traffic regulations, and adhering to the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality. This role is critical in supporting the organization’s logistics operations and ensuring smooth daily transportation services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Safely transport company executives, staff, and supplies to various destinations.
- Ensure the secure and timely delivery of goods, documents, and materials.
- Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain up-to-date vehicle records, including logbooks, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.
- Report any accidents, vehicle malfunctions, or traffic incidents immediately to the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with Kenyan traffic laws and road safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the vehicle at all times.
- Plan and coordinate travel routes to avoid delays and ensure timely arrivals.
- Uphold strict passenger confidentiality and professional decorum.
- Schedule regular vehicle servicing and mechanical inspections.
- Assist in loading and unloading supplies, as required.
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor while interacting with executives and staff members.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Academic Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate (KCSE or equivalent).
Professional Qualifications:
- Not required, but additional certifications in defensive driving or vehicle maintenance will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- At least three (3) years of experience as a personal, executive, or company driver.
- A strong understanding of Kenyan traffic laws and urban navigation.
- Experience in transporting high-level executives is an added advantage.
Required Certifications:
- A valid Kenyan Driving License (Class B, C, or D).
- A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI).
- Defensive driving certification is an added advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Basic mechanical skills to handle minor vehicle troubleshooting and repairs.
- Knowledge of Nairobi road networks and ability to use GPS navigation tools.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to plan and manage travel schedules effectively.
Behavioral Competencies:
- High integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive company information.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative when necessary.
