As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of various projects. You will be working closely with architects, designers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure every project is completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. Your ability to provide accurate cost analysis and negotiate contracts effectively will be critical in achieving financial success for our projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare detailed and accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for diverse projects, including building construction, interior fit-out works, and custom furniture manufacturing.
- Develop comprehensive cost estimates and provide competitive quotations for projects to support bids and tenders.
- Work closely with the design and construction teams to provide cost advice, value engineering options, and ensure projects remain within budget parameters.
- Monitor project expenditures, track cost variations, and generate regular financial reports for stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate cost records and ensure accessibility for audit and decision-making purposes.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, cost trends, and emerging technologies in quantity surveying.
- Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and negotiate favorable terms.
- Prepare valuation reports for completed work and generate timely payment applications for sites.
- Ensure contractual compliance and manage legal and financial risks associated with each project.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations on cost-saving measures to enhance project efficiency.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, ensuring all cost-related inquiries are addressed effectively.
- Develop strategic procurement plans to optimize costs and enhance efficiency in material acquisition.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Minimum Educational Requirements:
- A Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction and interior design industry.
Technical and Soft Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and processes.
- Expertise in BOQ preparation, cost estimations, and tender documentation.
- Ability to interpret design drawings and specifications accurately.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding of contract law, procurement strategies, and financial management in construction.
