INTRODUCTION

Autochek Africa is seeking a highly experienced Bank Engagement Lead to drive and manage strategic relationships with banking institutions and financial partners. This role plays a critical function in enhancing automotive financing offerings, ensuring seamless integration of financial services, and growing Autochek’s influence within the banking and automotive sectors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Onboard, manage, and nurture relationships with banking partners to facilitate auto loan disbursement via the Autochek platform.
  • Lead banking partnerships, ensuring they deliver mutual value while aligning with business growth objectives.
  • Oversee deal approvals on Mint, ensuring compliance and timely resolution of issues.
  • Drive timely monthly repayments and transition banking partners to T+1 settlement cycles.
  • Collaborate with banking partners to establish disbursement targets and implement effective business development initiatives.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with financial institutions, addressing challenges and fostering strong relationships.
  • Coordinate with senior management to facilitate high-level meetings with banking partners and corporate clients, ensuring actionable follow-ups.
  • Develop innovative financing products in collaboration with internal teams and banking stakeholders.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team, integrating banking partnerships into Autochek’s overall business strategy.
  • Function as a project manager for partnership-related initiatives, overseeing smooth execution, tech integration, and disbursements.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to banking and corporate partners, ensuring effective stakeholder management.
  • Expand the corporate channel by acquiring new partners and ensuring successful closure of corporate transactions with excellent service delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Technical Requirements:

  • Strong sales mindset with the ability to cultivate partnerships from C-suite executives to operational leads.
  • Expertise in project planning, including defining deliverables and timelines.
  • Proven ability to develop pitch presentations and partnership proposals.
  • Ability to successfully represent the company in high-stakes meetings and achieve business objectives.
  • High level of integrity, urgency, and results-orientation.
  • Strong follow-up and stakeholder communication skills.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Extensive experience in customer service excellence and client engagement.
  • Results-driven, commercially focused, and able to identify and maximize opportunities.
  • Skilled in identifying and implementing process improvements for operational efficiency.
  • Strong relationship management and negotiation skills with senior banking stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of automotive financing, banking products, and financial market trends.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with experience in managing cross-functional teams.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.

Experience:

  • 8-10 years of experience in banking, financial services, fintech, or related sectors.
  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role focused on relationship management and partnerships.
  • Proven track record of developing and managing successful partnerships with financial institutions.
