Key Responsibilities
As an SME Relationship Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Develop, maintain, and expand the SME client portfolio by identifying new business opportunities.
- Grow branch fees and commissions through a targeted product and service offering to the SME portfolio.
- Proactively manage credit applications to reduce the likelihood of non-performing assets (NPAs).
- Increase profitability, product penetration, and customer satisfaction through strategic financial solutions.
- Enhance customer retention and acquisition by offering tailored banking solutions and advisory services.
- Drive sales and business development through proactive engagement with SMEs.
- Perform financial analysis to assess business viability and creditworthiness.
- Ensure adherence to risk and compliance guidelines to uphold the bank’s policies and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize service delivery and enhance customer experience.
- Stay updated on market trends to provide clients with valuable financial insights.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and build long-term relationships with SME clients.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
Academic & Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in banking operations, SME banking, or financial services.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proficiency in sales and marketing to drive SME banking growth.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships.
- Excellent financial analysis and risk assessment abilities.
- Sound knowledge of SME credit applications and banking products.
- Effective communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
- High integrity, professionalism, and a results-driven approach.
- Ability to work independently and proactively manage business portfolios.
