Key Responsibilities:

As a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E), you will be responsible for:

Developing and implementing M&E frameworks, policies, and strategies to track and improve service delivery.
Conducting performance monitoring and data analysis to evaluate operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
Designing data collection tools and methodologies to assess key performance indicators (KPIs).
Generating periodic reports and impact assessments to support decision-making.
Ensuring compliance with water and sanitation regulatory frameworks by maintaining accurate and reliable data.
Coordinating with stakeholders, departments, and county officials to improve operational efficiency.
Carrying out field assessments and surveys to monitor project outcomes and recommend improvements.
Providing technical guidance and capacity building for staff on M&E best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Project Management, Economics, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, preferably in water and sanitation services, public utilities, or government institutions
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SPSS, STATA, or Excel
Strong analytical and report-writing skills
Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the water and sanitation sector
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) or Project Management is an added advantage
Experience working with government agencies or donor-funded projects
Understanding of GIS mapping and visualization tools
