Key Responsibilities:

As a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E), you will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing M&E frameworks, policies, and strategies to track and improve service delivery.
  • Conducting performance monitoring and data analysis to evaluate operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Designing data collection tools and methodologies to assess key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Generating periodic reports and impact assessments to support decision-making.
  • Ensuring compliance with water and sanitation regulatory frameworks by maintaining accurate and reliable data.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, departments, and county officials to improve operational efficiency.
  • Carrying out field assessments and surveys to monitor project outcomes and recommend improvements.
  • Providing technical guidance and capacity building for staff on M&E best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Project Management, Economics, or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in Monitoring & Evaluation, preferably in water and sanitation services, public utilities, or government institutions
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SPSS, STATA, or Excel
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the water and sanitation sector
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) or Project Management is an added advantage
  • Experience working with government agencies or donor-funded projects
  • Understanding of GIS mapping and visualization tools
