Introduction

Key Responsibilities
As an intern in the Tourism, Retail & Property and Healthcare & Education sectors within the MAS Africa Department, your responsibilities will include:
- Market Research: Conduct comprehensive market research to analyze industry dynamics, economic trends, and data collection within the specified sectors.
- Client Mapping: Identify and map potential clients, initiating outreach to establish connections and explore opportunities.
- Financial Evaluation: Assess the financial viability and strategic alignment of potential investment opportunities.
- Pitch Development: Assist in creating pitch books, teasers, and concept notes to effectively communicate investment propositions.
- Transaction Support: Provide support for ongoing transactions under supervision, ensuring due diligence and adherence to IFC’s standards.
- Financial Modeling: Develop and analyze financial models to support investment decisions and strategies.
Qualifications and Skills
To be considered for this internship, candidates should possess the following:
- Educational Background: Currently enrolled in a Master’s degree program, preferably in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance.
- Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years of prior work experience, with a focus on market research and financial analysis.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, strong analytical capabilities, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills relevant to the region are advantageous.
