Key Responsibilities of the ICT Intern
As an ICT Intern at Amref Health Africa, you will:
- Develop software solutions for multiple platforms, ensuring efficiency and scalability.
- Test and document software applications to maintain system reliability.
- Debug and troubleshoot technical issues to enhance user experience.
- Assist in database management, system maintenance, and data security.
- Support network and system administration to optimize ICT infrastructure.
- Stay updated on emerging technology trends and recommend innovations.
- Participate in code reviews and quality assurance processes to maintain high development standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop impactful ICT solutions for health programs.
- Provide technical support and training to non-technical staff on software usage and IT best practices.
Qualifications and Skills Required
To qualify for this ICT Internship, you should possess the following:
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript.
- Understanding of database management systems such as SQL and NoSQL.
- Familiarity with web development technologies like HTML, CSS, and PHP.
- Knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and cloud computing.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging software applications.
