Key Responsibilities

1. Previewing and Editing of Programs

• Review content to ensure it aligns with broadcasting standards.
• Edit and optimize programs using Final Cut Pro X (FCP X) as required.
• Conduct quality checks to guarantee error-free and audience-friendly programs.

2. Assist in Content Acquisition

• Collaborate in sourcing and acquiring content aligned with the station’s programming objectives.
• Liaise with content providers and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials for broadcasting.

3. Preparing the Daily Playlist

• Compile and organize the daily programming playlist with accuracy.
• Ensure all scheduled programs run smoothly and on time.
• Adapt playlists to accommodate last-minute changes, such as breaking news or unforeseen developments.

4. Transmission Control

• Monitor live broadcast operations to ensure content airs as planned.
• Conduct real-time checks on transmission equipment to identify and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Respond promptly to resolve transmission-related challenges and minimize downtime.

5. Additional Responsibilities

• Work closely with the transmission team to support various operational tasks.
• Ensure content is properly categorized and archived for quick retrieval.
• Collaborate with marketing, technical, and editorial teams to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications:

• Educational Qualification: Certificate or Diploma in Broadcast Journalism.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
• Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Final Cut Pro X (FCP X) or equivalent.
