KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Store/Inventory Officer, you will be entrusted with the following duties:

Receive, inspect, and record all incoming materials and equipment in accordance with company protocols.
Organize and maintain inventory storage systems for ease of retrieval, safety, and efficient space usage.
Ensure accurate stock issuance based on authorized requisitions while updating records promptly.
Use inventory management systems to log, update, and reconcile stock levels daily.
Coordinate with procurement and finance departments to ensure stock levels are aligned with demand forecasts.
Implement cycle counts and stock verification activities periodically to maintain inventory integrity.
Generate inventory movement and balance reports on a weekly and monthly basis.
Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and binning of all inventory items to prevent mix-ups or stock losses.
Monitor stock usage trends and advise on re-order levels or slow-moving stock.
Assist in annual inventory audits and work closely with internal/external auditors.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

To qualify for this position, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in storekeeping, inventory management, or warehouse operations.
Proficiency in using inventory management software such as ERP, SAP, or QuickBooks Inventory.
Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy in managing stock data.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
Sound knowledge of procurement processes, inventory cycle counting, and stock reconciliation procedures.

Preferred Skills:

Certification in Supply Chain (e.g., CIPS or KISM) is an added advantage.
Experience with ISO procedures or warehouse quality standards will be considered a plus.
