Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Human Resource Officer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Developing and implementing HR policies, systems, and procedures that align with organizational objectives.
• Advising management and employees on Kenya’s Labour Regulations and Legislation to ensure compliance.
• Utilizing HR Management Information Systems for effective workforce planning and decision-making.
• Leading the design and execution of workplace change initiatives, fostering adaptability across all levels.
• Collaborating with department heads to translate strategy into practical operational plans.
• Managing recruitment and onboarding processes to attract top talent.
• Conducting employee performance evaluations and identifying opportunities for professional development.
• Facilitating training programs to enhance employee capabilities and engagement.

Qualifications and Skills

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• A Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management (preferably CHRP).
• Membership in the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM K).
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in an HR role, including 3 years in a senior position.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in using HR Management Information Systems for reporting and analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of HR policies, systems, and procedures.
• Strong understanding and interpretation of Kenya’s Labour Laws and employment regulations.

Soft Skills:

• Exceptional ability to translate strategy into actionable plans.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in managing change initiatives in the workplace.
