BasiGo is an early-stage electric mobility startup – with headquarters in Nairobi and growing operations in Kigali. Our mission is simple: to replace diesel-powered matatus with modern, cost-effective, electric alternatives that make commuting more sustainable, safe, and efficient across Africa.

We are focused on empowering matatu owners, SACCOs, and operators to transition to clean energy through access to cutting-edge electric buses, smart financing models, and localized support infrastructure.

Minimum Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in any field (STEM, business, humanities, or design welcomed).
• Demonstrated experience working in fast-paced environments like startups, consultancy, or innovation-focused organizations.
• Eagerness to work in a startup culture – high speed, high autonomy, high responsibility.
• A proactive and self-driven approach to learning, problem-solving, and collaboration.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with precision and purpose.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication abilities.
• A true team player, ready to support colleagues and co-create bold solutions.

Bonus Qualities (Not Mandatory, but Great to Have)

• Prior work or passion related to sustainability jobs Kenya, green energy, or transport.
• Experience using tools like Slack, Trello, Notion, Google Workspace, or CRM systems.
