Vacancy 1: Relationship Officer – Business Development

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive business growth by promoting and selling Enterprise Banking products.
• Increase the bank’s liabilities, assets, and Non-Funded Income (NFI) within the enterprise segment.
• Actively manage and maintain a quality loan book with a focus on low PAR (Portfolio at Risk).
• Enhance customer relationship management, ensuring optimal client satisfaction.
• Evaluate credit proposals and oversee timely processing in line with internal guidelines.
• Promote cross-selling and upselling of the bank’s diverse products and services.
• Conduct market research and recommend new product developments specific to the Enterprise segment.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory policies and internal compliance requirements.
• Safeguard and promote the bank’s image through exceptional service delivery.
• Any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a Business-related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in sales, credit, or customer relationship management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Excellent interpersonal, networking, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and integrity.

Vacancy 2: Relationship Manager – Liabilities

Location: Rafiki Microfinance Bank, Head Office, Nairobi

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive acquisition of new corporate clients, focusing on building a solid portfolio of low-cost deposits.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with clients to ensure maximum wallet share and revenue growth.
• Continuously monitor, nurture, and retain existing corporate relationships.
• Lead product packaging to offer winning value propositions, ensuring sustainable profitability.
• Identify key contacts and business influencers within client organizations to develop long-term partnerships.
• Analyze client businesses, industries, and market conditions to mitigate potential risks.
• Initiate and oversee the customer onboarding process, ensuring seamless service delivery.
• Proactively monitor the market for opportunities, pre-empt risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Scope and onboard collection business opportunities from large-volume corporate clients.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field.
• Minimum of 6-7 years’ experience in corporate banking, business development, or a related financial sector role.
• Strong relationship management, networking, and client acquisition skills.
• Exceptional analytical abilities and market intelligence.
• Excellent interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills.
• Strong time management, adaptability, confidentiality, and integrity.
