Applications are invited for three exciting vacancies: Customer Experience Officer (Locum Basis), Clinical Pharmacist, and Radiographer. These roles are integral to delivering the hospital’s strategic objective of offering world-class healthcare and ensuring exceptional patient satisfaction.

VACANCY 1: Customer Experience Officer – Locum

Reports to: Patient Relations and Care Manager
Deadline: 21 April 2025

Job Purpose

The Customer Experience Officer is responsible for coordinating patient-facing services across departments. This includes delivering high-quality service, managing hospital front office functions, guiding patients through their journey, and improving engagement and satisfaction levels in all interactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Manage the hospital’s Customer Experience Desk.
  • Operate and coordinate the hospital’s Call Center and telephone-based support.
  • Oversee queue management systems and ensure proper patient flow.
  • Coordinate the Outpatient Department’s front-line support.
  • Supervise doctor and consultation room allocation processes.
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments across departments.
  • Handle enquiries, suggestions, feedback, and complaints professionally.
  • Train staff on customer care protocols and ensure standard operating procedures are enforced.
  • Offer patient orientation and guidance within hospital premises.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Front Office Operations, Hospitality, or relevant field.
  • Formal training in customer service.
  • 2–3 years in a customer service role, preferably within a healthcare setting.

Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Empathy and problem-solving ability.
  • Conflict resolution and crisis management skills.
  • Time management and organization.
  • Familiarity with modern customer experience management tools.

VACANCY 2: Clinical Pharmacist

Reports to: Medical Director
Deadline: 14 April 2025

Job Purpose

To provide oversight and leadership of the pharmacy department while ensuring regulatory compliance, clinical support, and efficient medication therapy management. The role involves collaboration with other medical teams to ensure optimal pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee pharmacy services ensuring compliance with legal and institutional requirements.
  • Dispense prescriptions accurately for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Participate in ward rounds and give input during multidisciplinary care meetings.
  • Monitor drug therapy and advise on clinical interventions.
  • Review all prescriptions and ensure safe drug use.
  • Report and analyze medication errors and adverse drug reactions.
  • Coordinate antibiotic stewardship programs.
  • Guide medication reconciliation at admission and discharge.
  • Offer patient counseling on medication adherence.
  • Train and mentor pharmacy staff and interns.
  • Submit regular reports on pharmacy operations and usage trends.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
  • Registered and licensed with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical pharmacy experience in a busy hospital setting.
  • An MBA or relevant post-graduate training is an added advantage.

VACANCY 3: Radiographer

Reports to: Resident Radiologist

Job Purpose

The Radiographer will conduct high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures and support clinical decision-making through accurate imaging results. The position involves use of advanced radiological technology and adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate X-ray, CT, Ultrasound, and portable imaging equipment.
  • Provide ultrasound diagnostic services and generate comprehensive reports.
  • Ensure radiation protection measures are strictly followed.
  • Tailor imaging procedures based on patient-specific needs and clinical history.
  • Perform assessments and select appropriate diagnostic techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to ensure cooperation and understanding.
  • Support emergency imaging and trauma care procedures.
  • Maintain equipment, manage inventory, and monitor functionality.
  • Coordinate with clinicians to deliver rapid, high-quality imaging results.
  • Participate in radiology audits and procurement discussions.
  • Uphold strict patient confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all imaging procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma in Medical Imaging or Radiography from a recognized institution.
  • Higher diploma in Ultrasound or specialty certification (CT, MRI) is a plus.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience.
  • Registered with the Radiographers Board of Kenya.
