Key Responsibilities

As a Pharmacist or Pharmaceutical Technologist, your responsibilities will include:

  • Dispensing Medications: Accurately prepare and dispense prescribed medications to patients.
  • Customer Education: Offer professional advice on medication use, side effects, and storage.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels, ensuring the availability of medications and supplies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory standards set by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
  • Record Keeping: Use computer systems for accurate reporting and tracking of prescriptions and inventory.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
  • Patient Care: Handle patient queries and complaints with professionalism and empathy.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • A Degree or Diploma in Pharmacy.
  • Registration or enrollment with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
  • A valid practice license.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a busy pharmacy setting.
  • Proficiency in computerized reporting and record-keeping systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to patient care.
