VACANCY DETAILS
1. Program Administrator (Fixed-Term)
Job Summary:
Supporting the successful implementation of the Design Your Future Integrated Innovation Pipeline Program (DYF-IPP), facilitating programs that integrate innovative ideas into viable projects and businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute innovation and incubation programs.
- Monitor program progress and participant engagement.
- Manage scheduling, records, databases, and stakeholder communication.
- Organize logistics for events including pitch competitions, networking sessions, and innovation showcases.
- Assist with budget preparation, requisition processing, and resource management.
- Contribute to promotional materials, newsletters, and participant testimonials.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Project Management, or related field.
- 1-2 years’ experience in program coordination or administrative roles.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
- Knowledge of digital marketing is an added advantage.
Salary: Kshs. 40,000/= to Kshs. 50,000/= per month (no other benefits)
2. Adjunct Faculty – Organic Chemistry & Physical and Analytical Chemistry (Part-Time)
Job Summary:
Teach selected undergraduate courses in Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry in the School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach and assess courses for BSc. Applied Biochemistry and Bachelor of Pharmacy students.
- Introduce and mark practical reports.
- Mentor students academically and career-wise.
- Participate in curriculum development and program assessments.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent.
- Master’s degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Physical Chemistry.
- Ph.D. in relevant field is preferred.
- Previous teaching experience is an advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and research writing skills.
3. Laboratory Technologist – Human Physiology (Fixed-Term)
Job Summary:
Provide technical support for learning activities in the Biochemistry laboratory, ensuring safe and efficient laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory tests and experiments.
- Supervise students in lab sessions, ensuring safety adherence.
- Manage laboratory supplies and maintain equipment.
- Handle laboratory waste segregation and disposal appropriately.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physiology from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong skills in physiological techniques, pathology, or human anatomy.
- Registration by relevant regulatory body (if applicable).
4. Innovation and Incubation Lead (Contingent on Contract Award)
Job Summary:
Lead implementation of the Design Your Future Integrated Innovation Pipeline Program (DYF-IPP), focusing on supporting students in transforming innovative ideas into scalable projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize workshops, pitch sessions, innovation challenges.
- Develop frameworks guiding startups from ideation to market entry.
- Mentor startups on business development strategies.
- Establish partnerships with universities, corporations, and investors.
- Oversee resource allocation, workspace management, and evaluation processes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Technology, or Entrepreneurship.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in innovation, incubation, or business advisory.
- Strong leadership, entrepreneurial, and networking skills.
Salary: Kshs. 100,000/= to Kshs. 120,000/= per month (no other benefits)
5. Business Development Trainer (Contingent on Contract Award)
Job Summary:
Support the successful execution of DYF-IPP through tailored training and mentorship programs for MSMEs, students, and alumni entrepreneurs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver business training sessions.
- Mentor MSMEs and student entrepreneurs on business modeling and financial planning.
- Coordinate onboarding, surveys, boot camps, and pitch evaluations.
- Guide participants in effective seed fund management.
- Document program outcomes and provide feedback to refine strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in entrepreneurship development, MSME support.
- Proven track record mentoring MSMEs, including case studies.
- Strong communication, analytical, and business advisory skills.
Salary: Kshs. 120,000/= to Kshs. 150,000/= per month (no other benefits)
