Key Responsibilities
As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing plant machinery. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maximizing production output by ensuring machinery operates efficiently.
- Conducting regular safety inspections and implementing corrective measures.
- Executing predictive and planned preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Identifying and implementing improvements to optimize equipment performance.
- Ensuring quality standards are met consistently across all operations.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to address technical challenges and ensure optimal machine uptime.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:
Required Qualifications
- A Higher National Diploma or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance and engineering roles.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of Kaizen principles and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.
Preferred Skills
- Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery.
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
- An eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying improvement opportunities.
