Key Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing plant machinery. Your responsibilities will include:

• Maximizing production output by ensuring machinery operates efficiently.
• Conducting regular safety inspections and implementing corrective measures.
• Executing predictive and planned preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Identifying and implementing improvements to optimize equipment performance.
• Ensuring quality standards are met consistently across all operations.
• Collaborating with the engineering team to address technical challenges and ensure optimal machine uptime.

Qualifications and Skills

To excel in this role, you should meet the following criteria:

Required Qualifications

• A Higher National Diploma or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance and engineering roles.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for technical drawings.
• Strong understanding of Kaizen principles and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Proven experience in maintaining and repairing industrial machinery.
• Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
• An eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying improvement opportunities.
