Key Responsibilities

As a Mathematics/Business Studies Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and delivering engaging lessons in Mathematics and Business Studies, aligned with the Cambridge Curriculum.
  • Preparing students for Cambridge examinations, with a focus on candidate classes.
  • Creating and maintaining a positive and stimulating learning environment that fosters critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Monitoring and assessing student performance to ensure academic progress and excellence.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum improvements and innovative teaching strategies.
  • Participating in professional development activities to stay updated on best practices in teaching and education.
  • Maintaining accurate records of student achievements and progress for reporting purposes.
  • Upholding the Christian values and ethos of the academy while supporting students’ spiritual growth.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Mathematics, Business Studies, or Education).
  • A minimum of 6 years of teaching experience in a recognized institution.
  • At least 3 years of experience teaching in a Cambridge Curriculum school, including preparing candidates for examinations.
  • Strong knowledge of the Cambridge Syllabus and examination processes.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A proven ability to foster critical thinking, creativity, and a love for learning among students.
  • A commitment to the Christian values upheld by the academy.
