Bolt Food, a key division of Bolt, is seeking a Key Account Manager in Nairobi, Kenya, to take full ownership of key partner portfolios and drive profitability, retention, and expansion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Account Management & Growth Strategy

  • Serve as the primary liaison for top-tier merchant partners, owning relationship management and operational KPIs.
  • Lead account profitability strategies by analyzing cost structures and identifying areas for optimization.
  • Continuously monitor and expand existing accounts, while spotting new opportunities for cross-selling or upselling.
  • Ensure the seamless delivery of service by supporting day-to-day operations and issue resolution.

Campaign Performance Optimization

  • Implement and refine campaign processes to ensure monthly growth in order volume, conversions, and partner revenue.
  • Track campaign KPIs and recommend data-driven adjustments to drive impact.
  • Actively promote partner participation in special promotions, food festivals, or seasonal discounts to boost visibility.

Account Planning & Business Consulting

  • Develop and execute customized account plans to improve order frequency, customer retention, and operational excellence.
  • Use dashboards and reports to generate key insights and deliver consultative recommendations to partners.
  • Support strategic decision-making and goal setting for each partner’s success.

Reporting & Performance Reviews

  • Prepare and deliver monthly reports and performance reviews to key stakeholders.
  • Use advanced analytics to measure ROI on campaigns, pricing adjustments, and operational initiatives.
  • Translate complex data into clear insights to drive merchant decisions.

Contract & Commercial Negotiation

  • Lead contract renegotiations, including commissions, exclusivity, incentives, and marketing commitments.
  • Collaborate with legal and finance departments to ensure mutual compliance and profitability.
  • Ensure contracts align with Bolt’s strategic business direction and local market regulations.

Brand Marketing & Visibility

  • Collaborate with the marketing team and merchants to plan and execute in-app and out-of-app marketing initiatives.
  • Propose marketing opportunities such as banner placements, push notifications, partner campaigns, and email marketing.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to brand guidelines and help elevate partner visibility.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in account management, business consultancy, or business development, ideally in F&B, tech, or logistics sectors.
  • Proven track record of hitting revenue targets, campaign KPIs, and stakeholder retention metrics.
  • Experience in restaurant tech, delivery platforms, or similar industries is a major advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or related field.
