Key Responsibilities of the Key Account Manager Role

As a Key Account Manager, your primary goal will be to deliver outstanding sales performance, ensure client satisfaction, and grow Airtel’s corporate client base. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Sales Performance & Revenue Growth

  • Meet and exceed assigned sales quotas within your account portfolio.
  • Develop and execute effective account strategies to maximize revenue and product penetration.
  • Lead solution-based selling, ensuring Airtel’s products and services meet clients’ unique business needs.

2. Account Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the assigned accounts.
  • Act as a customer advocate, ensuring Airtel solutions add value and resolve business challenges.
  • Provide overall account strategy and management to drive client satisfaction and loyalty.

3. Channel Partner Acquisition & Management

  • Identify, pitch, and onboard new channel partners to expand Airtel’s business reach.
  • Manage and nurture relationships with channel partners to ensure mutual growth.
  • Monitor partner performance and provide support to meet targets.

4. Sales Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain up-to-date records of account information, organizational charts, contracts, and pricing.
  • Ensure accuracy in sales pipeline management, timely reporting, and data analysis.
  • Prepare professional sales presentations, proposals, and regular sales reports.

5. Customer Satisfaction & Escalation Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer-related concerns, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to address customer needs and ensure smooth service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills Required

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Sales & Marketing, ICT, or a related field.

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate sales, with a focus on key account management and channel partner recruitment.
  • Prior experience in the Telecommunications, ICT, or Integrators industry is essential.
  • Proven track record in managing and growing corporate client portfolios.

Technical & Soft Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of GSM sales, telecommunications solutions, and corporate sales processes.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis for informed decision-making.
  • Effective relationship-building skills across all levels of client organizations.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a customer-centric approach.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and committed to exceeding targets.
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders and coordinating sales initiatives.
