Key Responsibilities of the Junior Support Systems Engineer Role
As a Junior Support Systems Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide first-level technical support for unified communication systems and VoIP technologies.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving client-reported technical issues promptly.
- Document and escalate complex technical problems to senior engineers when necessary.
2. CRM Systems Management
- Gain exposure to CRM systems used by clients and assist in system maintenance and updates.
- Collaborate with the support team to ensure seamless CRM integration.
- Monitor client interactions within CRM platforms, ensuring data integrity and functionality.
3. Systems Installation & Configuration
- Assist senior engineers in installing and configuring communication systems and related hardware/software.
- Participate in system testing, commissioning, and ensuring compliance with client specifications.
4. Client Training & Engagement
- Support in conducting basic client training sessions on system usage and troubleshooting.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, providing regular updates and support resolutions.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Keep accurate records of support tickets, system configurations, and client communications.
- Provide regular reports to the line manager on support activities, issues resolved, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications and Skills Required
Educational Qualifications:
- Degree or Higher National Diploma/Diploma in a relevant engineering field (Telecommunications or Communications preferred).
Technical Competencies:
- Basic knowledge of CRM systems, Unified Communication systems, and VoIP technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and general IT literacy.
Professional Experience:
- Recent graduates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Any prior relevant internship or work experience in technical support roles will be an added advantage.
