Key Responsibilities
- Request and renew Coal Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and mining permits as required.
- Register and track import and export entries, ensuring timely processing of shipments.
- Prepare new orders for exports to Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, and Somalia.
- Book vessel space and coordinate timely clearance for shipments to Somalia, ensuring all documentation is processed before the cut-off time.
- Handle Online Application (OA) processing for Aca, UCR, Agency, and miscellaneous payments.
- Collaborate with suppliers to facilitate SOA reconciliation.
- Update and maintain accurate records, including tracking status, loading dates, and document preparation.
- Ensure warehouse receiving documents are properly recorded and updated.
- Confirm and update export documentation in the shared folder for easy access.
- Coordinate clearance procedures with the finance department, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations.
- Submit and share DNS applications for C2 and Exit Note processing.
- Monitor shipment planning and update agents on loading and system balances.
- Generate and distribute the East African Community (EAC) weekly and monthly reports.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the leadership team.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to international business and trade compliance.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other logistics-related software.
