As an HR Officer (Performance Management & Enabling), you will play a crucial role in enhancing employee productivity and engagement by coordinating performance management processes, training programs, and HR policy implementation. You will work closely with the HR Manager and Line Managers to ensure employees have the necessary support and resources to excel in their roles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Performance Management
- Coordinate the goal-setting process, performance appraisals, and regular feedback cycles with Line Managers.
- Support the implementation of performance management frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
- Facilitate employee performance review meetings, tracking key performance indicators and individual development plans.
- Analyze and compile reports on performance trends, helping management make data-driven HR decisions.
- Ensure compliance with performance management policies, providing guidance to employees and managers on best practices.
2. Learning & Development (L&D)
- Develop and maintain training calendars to schedule learning sessions, workshops, and professional development programs.
- Support the planning and execution of employee training programs, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Track and assess the impact of training initiatives by gathering feedback and evaluating learning effectiveness.
- Assist in identifying skills gaps and training needs, working with department heads to enhance employee capabilities.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation for reporting and compliance purposes.
3. Employee Engagement & HR Support
- Coordinate employee engagement activities, fostering a positive work culture and high job satisfaction.
- Support initiatives that enhance employee well-being, team collaboration, and work-life balance.
- Work closely with the HR Manager to develop and implement employee recognition programs.
- Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency in application across departments.
- Provide support in handling employee relations matters, addressing concerns and resolving workplace issues effectively.
4. HR Reporting & Compliance
- Compile and present HR reports on performance trends, training impact, and employee engagement metrics.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, HR policies, and best practices, keeping the HR team updated on regulatory requirements.
- Maintain employee records related to performance reviews, training history, and engagement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional Certification: HR Certification such as CHRP-K, SPHRI, and IHRM membership (mandatory).
- Experience Level: At least 4+ years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in Performance Management, Learning & Development, and Employee Engagement.
- Performance Management Expertise: Strong understanding of goal-setting frameworks, employee performance reviews, and HR best practices.
- L&D Program Development: Ability to design and implement training programs, track learning progress, and assess training impact.
- Employee Engagement Knowledge: Experience in designing engagement initiatives, employee feedback programs, and HR wellness initiatives.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Proficiency in analyzing HR performance data, tracking key HR metrics, and generating insights for decision-making.
- Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to collaborate with employees and leadership teams, ensuring smooth HR operations.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Detail-oriented approach to managing HR programs, performance cycles, and training calendars.
- Policy Implementation & Compliance: Knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.
